The Open Neighborhoods mapping application was developed by SAGIS in cooperation with the City of Savannah in an effort to increase civic engagement throughout the City.
The Open Neighborhoods Map allows users to search and explore the City of Savannah’s 105 official neighborhoods. This mapping application also provides neighborhood contact information for active community organizations and neighborhood associations. Residents are encouraged to contact the published neighborhood representative about getting involved in their neighborhood organization.
Residents who live in a neighborhood that does not currently have an active community organization or neighborhood association are encouraged to create one. Contact the City of Savannah’s Human Services Department at 912-651-6520 to get started.
The Open Neighborhoods home screen is below.
City of Savannah neighborhoods are color-coded and outlined on the map. Enter an address in the Find My Neighborhood search bar on the right-hand side to identify the neighborhood’s name, active organization, and contact information.
Open Neighborhoods also identifies neighborhood amenities including: Public Parks, Bikeways, Community Centers, Grocery Stores, Libraries, CAT Bus Stops and Schools. Utilize the various tools located on the upper right-hand corner of the page or click on any of the map’s neighborhood shapes to explore.
