Young artists and their caretakers will engage in unique sensory experiences and materials designed to inspire and enable your child's inner creativity. We will focus on a new technique or concept, and feature different materials to discover in painting, drawing, and clay sculpting so that every workshop will engage and enrich your child's creative mind!

Enjoy a series of art projects with your budding artist in this exploratory two-hour workshop. Expand your child’s creative potential and foster their love for all forms of art as we focus on more niche styles of art. Junior Art students with stretch their creative muscles through a series of challenging projects including sculpting, painting, design, and collage.

Breathe life into an idea that isn’t fully launched, thought out, or visualized yet. Learn how to take your creative talent and turn it into a profitable business in this two-hour workshop. Sections will include: Creating mission, vision, and value set to be the backbone of your idea, how to use your story to pitch sponsors and partners, how to find your voice, how to craft the perfect email, how to set up an online selling platform and much more. Get one on one consulting from a self-made creative business, Strawberry Moth and learn how she was able to take her craft and expand it to selling wholesale worldwide.

Petite Fashionista 
Full day workshop – Date TBD
Ages 6 - 14
Instructor: Jessica Duthu

In the words of Tim Gunn, learn how to “make it work” in this unconventional fashion design class! Young designers will develop their creativity in a series of fun and challenging projects. Students will become familiar with a variety of textiles and develop drawing and problem-solving skills, as they brainstorm ideas for the final pieces in their collection. They will also explore fundamental design principles including pattern, form, and function through a series of projects, including fabric printing, weaving, and creating their own wearables! Students will be exposed to the work of such fashion pioneers as Stephen Jones, Alexander McQueen, and Rei Kawakubo. The class will culminate in a fabulous runway show for parents and friends!

Introduction to Natural Dyeing 
2 hr. workshop - Date TBD
Instructor: Jessica Duthu

This introduction to the concepts of natural dyeing is meant to encourage the novice dyer and provide a base of knowledge to allow for further experimentation and play at home! All you need to explore natural dyeing are supplies available at your local grocery store and tools that any reasonably equipped kitchen will have. Learn the basic terms and concepts essential to understanding natural dye: scour, mordant, binder, dyestuff, and extract. Experiment with Shibori techniques to create patterns in your work and leave the workshop with two finished kerchiefs.

Just bring cake, snacks, decorations, and yourself! We will provide all the supplies, instructor and fun. More information regarding rates and availability will be coming soon!
