Great Savannah Cleanup moves to Edgemere/Sackville neighborhood

The City of Savannah is joining forces with local residents and other organizations for a neighborhood cleanup and job fair event in the Edgemere/Sackville neighborhood on Saturday, March 11 from 9 a.m. til 12 p.m. as part of the Great Savannah Cleanup. The event will kick off at 9 a.m. at the intersection of 54th and Cedar and will include a cleanup, job recruitment fair, and more.

Participating entities include the City of Savannah Sanitation, Community Planning and Development, and Property Maintenance departments, Savannah Fire & Emergency Services, SCMPD, Operation Clean Sweep, and Worksource Georgia.

The Great Savannah Cleanup runs through May 31 in conjunction with the Great American Cleanup. Residents can help organize cleanups in their neighborhood by calling Operation Clean Sweep Coordinator Pauline Haywood at 912.658.6795.
