On each date of the City Council meeting, the Mayor and Aldermen also attend a work session and briefing by the City Manager in the 2nd Floor Media Room.

Nick Cave (American, b. 1959) is an internationally-renowned artist living and working in Chicago. As an artist, an educator, and foremost a messenger, Cave works between the visual and performing arts through a wide range of mediums including sculpture, installation, video, sound, and performance. Nick Cave is on view at the Jepson Center from January 27 through April 23, 2017.

The Savannah Black Heritage Festival (SBHF) is a professionally produced, multi-disciplinary festival, and it is one of the many ethnic cultural arts events sponsored annually by the City of Savannah’s (GA) Department of Cultural Affairs. Join London-based artist and curator Klaus Wehner for an illuminating discussion of Wundercamera: Savannah. Using mediums of photography and video, Wehner’s work has focused on museums for a number of years, exploring our dynamic relationships to art objects and the power of museums to inform our awareness and culture.
