  1. Small Business Opportunity Program Outreach Session

    July 27, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Windsor Forrest Community Center

    The City of Savannah is developing a new Small Business Opportunity program to help small and disadvantaged companies thrive. The proposed Small Business Opportunity program aims to increase utilization of local small businesses in all areas of City procurement. Savannah-based firms may be eligible for the Small Business Enterprise certification, giving them access to sheltered City contracts. To gather feedback on the proposed program, the City will host three outreach sessions. All local small business owners interested in doing business with the City are invited to attend one of the upcoming sessions: • Wednesday, July 19 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Savannah Entrepreneurial Center 801 E.   1. Hattie Saussy: Rediscovery of an Artist

    Telfair Museums will present Hattie Saussy: Rediscovery of an Artist, the first major retrospective of the artist’s work in over 30 years, at the Telfair Academy from June 30-September 24, 2017. The exhibition features over 50 paintings and drawings, including two from Telfair’s permanent collection, that document the artist’s affection for the South.

    Maggie Mullin O’Hara is a multimedia artist from Pittsburgh, PA, currently based in the South. Her exhibition I’m Trying To Tell You incorporates the mediums of video, performance, photography, sculpture and installation. The show includes a site-specific sculptural video installation of a yearlong performance piece.
