Help Shape the Future of DeRenne – Nov. 2-6
We invite you to join us in helping shape the future of the DeRenne Avenue Corridor by participating in a weeklong design charrette, Nov. 2-6 at 131 W. DeRenne Avenue (inside the old NAPA Auto Parts store). The charrette will facilitate a focused and comprehensive approach to developing a concept for the future of the corridor—a vision driven by citizens with help from experts.

The charrette will include analysis throughout the day with open design studios Tuesday through Friday 8 a.m. – noon and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. There will be a "pin up" session from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday showing a summary of the day's activities and an overview of concepts being considered. Focus group discussions on specific topics will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Please see the schedule and session descriptions below.

Members of the community and all those interested in the future of the DeRenne corridor are highly encouraged to participate. The multi-day planning workshop will include input from engineers, architects, market analysts, graphic designers, planners, City staff and the public. There will be ample time to meet with the charrette team, whether it is for a few minutes or all day.

A final presentation will be scheduled a few weeks after the charrette. Time and location are to be announced.

By the end of Phase II, the City will have a conceptual design representing an improved DeRenne Avenue with both traffic/roadway improvements and a vision for the corridor's beautification and revitalization.
