Chatham County/City of Savannah Landbank Authority

Description:
The Land Bank Authority was established to acquire the tax delinquent properties in order to foster the public purpose of returning land which is in a non-revenue-generating, non-tax-producing status to an effective utilization status in order to provide housing, new industry, and jobs for the citizens of the county.

Membership/Appointment:
Five members with two members (2) appointed by the Mayor and Aldermen.

Min. Requirements:
The members shall be residents of the County and may be employees of Chatham County and/or City of Savannah. All members appointed shall have demonstrated special interest, experience, or education in urban planning, real estate, community development, finance, or related areas.

Term:
Four (4) year terms. No term limits.
