Governor Orders Flags to Half-Staff Saturday for Officer Christie

SAVANNAH, GA (May 30, 2018) — The City of Savannah just received word that Georgia Governor Nathan Deal has ordered the lowering of flags to half-staff in Chatham County on Saturday in honor of Savannah Police Officer Anthony Christie.

Officer Christie was killed in the line of duty on Friday, May 25. The Governor has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff on Saturday, June 2, 2018, the day of Officer Christie’s funeral and honor procession, until sunset.
