The award-winning City of Savannah, Georgia (estimated 2020 population 146,440) is recruiting nationally for a City Manager with the courage to lead and has a verifiable and highly successful track record in a full-service local government with finance, public safety, economic development, neighborhood partnerships, and poverty reduction, including creating affordable housing initiatives. The ideal candidate must be a true servant leader of the highest integrity with a reputation for building teams and be strategic with a highly collaborative and transparent style who will help shape the future vision for Savannah. Serving at the pleasure of a nine-member City Council, the City Manager will work with an impressive leadership team and together oversee a capable staff of approximately 2,400 employees with a total budget of approximately $425 million, including a $208 million operating budget. The City has earned a bond rating from Moody’s of AA1 and from Standard & Poor’s of AA+
