The City of Savannah and Chatham County are teaming up with community partners to encourage our community to know the facts about COVID-19 vaccines and get vaccinated.
Research shows those 18-29 are the least likely to get a vaccine, but in Georgia, this group has also had the highest number of confirmed COVID cases at more than 192,000 as of April 14.
"If you're young, healthy and get exposed to COVID, you may not have a serve reaction, but you could pass it on to someone more vulnerable," said Mayor Van Johnson. "I got my vaccine to keep my friends, family and coworkers at city hall safe, and you should do the same."
Savannahians can learn more about vaccine availability by visiting covidvaxdial311.com.
Don't forget to share your vaccine photos on social media using the hashtags #VaxUpSavannah and #SavannahStrong.
