City offices to close in observance of Christmas

SAVANNAH (Dec. 22) – City of Savannah administrative offices and facilities will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 26, in observance of the Christmas holiday. Emergency services will remain open.

Sanitation services will be impacted by the holiday. Residents can expect the following changes to their schedule:

Residential garbage collection services will resume Tuesday, Dec. 27 through Friday, Dec. 30.

Yard waste will be collected Friday, Dec. 23 and will resume Wednesday, Dec. 28 through Saturday Dec. 31.

Street cleaning services will resume Tuesday, Dec. 27 through Friday, Dec. 30.

Recycling will be collected Thursday, Dec. 29.

The Dean Forest Road Landfill and Bacon Park Transfer Station will be closed for drop-offs on Friday, Dec. 23, Sunday, Dec. 25, and Monday, Dec 26. Bacon Park will be open on Saturday, Dec. 24 at 9 a.m. and Dean Forest Landfill will reopen at 7 a.m.
