City offices to close in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day 

 

SAVANNAH (Jan. 13) – City of Savannah administrative offices and facilities will be closed Monday, Jan. 16, in observance of Martin Luther King (MLK) Day. Emergency services will remain open.

 

Sanitation services will be impacted by the holiday. Residents can expect the following changes to their schedule:

 

Residential garbage collection services will resume Tuesday, Jan. 17 through Friday, Jan. 20.

 

Yard waste will be collected Friday, Jan. 13 and will resume Wednesday, Jan. 18 through Saturday, Jan. 21.

 

Street cleaning services will resume Tuesday, Jan. 17 through Friday, Jan. 20.

 

Recycling will be collected Tuesday, Jan. 17 and Wednesday, Jan. 18.

 

The Dean Forest Road Landfill and Bacon Park Transfer Station will be closed for drop-offs on Monday, Jan. 16. Dean Forest Landfill will resume normal operations Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 7 a.m. Bacon Park will resume normal operations Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 9 a.m.
