City offices to close in observance of Juneteenth

 

SAVANNAH (June 14) – City of Savannah administrative offices and facilities will be closed Monday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. Emergency services will remain open.

 

Sanitation services will be impacted by the holiday. Residents can expect the following changes to their schedule:

 

Residential garbage collection services will resume Tuesday, June 20, through Friday, June 23. Sanitation crews will collect yard waste on Friday, June 16, and resume Wednesday, June 21, through Saturday, June 24. Street cleaning services will resume Tuesday, June 20, through Friday, June 23.

 

The Dean Forest Road Landfill and Bacon Park Transfer Station will be closed for drop-offs on Monday, June 19. Dean Forest Landfill will resume normal operations on Tuesday, June 20, at 7 a.m. Bacon Park will resume normal operations on Wednesday, June 21, at 9 a.m.

 

Residential recycling for Monday and Tuesday will be collected on Tuesday, June 20 and Wednesday, June 21. Thursday recycling will be collected on Friday, June 23.
