City hosting summit to present findings and recommendations from nightlife report
SAVANNAH (July 7) — The City of Savannah’s Office of Special Events, Film, and Tourism (OSEFT) will host an informational summit Thursday, July 13 to discuss strategies and goals recommended for nightlife activities in Savannah that were developed in conjunction with the Responsible Hospitality Institute. There will be two sessions, 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., in the Coastal Georgia Center’s auditorium, located on Fahm Street. Both sessions will offer the same information. The summit is open to the public.
OSEFT partnered with the Responsible Hospitality Institute (RHI) to develop a consultant report based on 10 months of public input from residents, venue operators, public safety officials, and government officials. The recommendations and strategies are focused on enhancing communication for Savannah’s unique nightlife economy, extending city operations with nighttime services, and improving the quality of life for residents, business owners, and tourists.
Media outlets are asked to RSVP by noon on Wednesday, July 12 if they plan to attend either session.
