The Savannah City Council’s Tourism Advisory Committee (TAC) is nearing the end of an extensive process to review and receive input on current ordinances and regulations over the tour guide industry, with the ultimate goal of making recommendations for changes to Savannah City Council. The attachment below is a presentation that was given at a January 8 meeting of the TAC on work done to date and proposed recommendations.

On January 15, the TAC will meet to specifically discuss a proposal to allow the operation of double decker tour buses in Savannah. The body will meet again January 22 to finalize overall recommendations, which will be presented to City Council during a workshop January 24. City Council is expected to vote on recommendations in February.
