The Savannah Youth Ambassadors Program is a year-round program, that fosters youth leadership and civic engagement through City-sponsored training, cultural exploration opportunities, and Make a Difference community impact projects. The program kicks off each year in June, with a four-week summer intensive session.

About SYA

The purpose of the Savannah Youth Ambassador program is to provide Savannah’s high school youth with positive development designed to enhance their skills and future opportunities.

SYA participates in leadership development sessions and hands-on activities that encourage personal, social, and civic development. Guest facilitators present on topics such as the impact of social media, life after high school, Savannah’s history, and much more.

The Savannah Youth Ambassadors participate in a comprehensive program designed to foster personal, professional, and social growth. Participants engage in peer mediation certification, cultural exploration, and college and career preparation, with sessions centered around civic engagement, leadership development, and building skills for success. Through these experiences, youth are empowered to become confident, responsible, and community-minded leaders.
