City Offices Closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 in Observance of Christmas Holiday
SAVANNAH – City of Savannah administrative offices and facilities will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Wednesday Dec. 25 in observance of the Christmas Holiday. Emergency services will remain open.
Sanitation services will be affected by the holiday closures. Residents can expect the following changes to their schedule:
Residential garbage collection and yard waste collection services will not be collected on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25. Collection services will resume on Thursday, Dec. 26 on a one-day delayed schedule. There will be no recycling collection on Wednesday, Dec. 25.
Street sweeping operations will not run on the evenings of Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25. Operations will resume on Thursday, Dec. 26.
Dean Forest Road Landfill will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25. Bacon Park Transfer Station will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25. Both will reopen Thursday, Dec. 26 on normal operating hours.
