City of Savannah to Celebrate Installment of Sixth New Splash Pad
SAVANNAH – The City of Savannah’s Recreation and Leisure Services Department will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, July 9 at 10 a.m. to celebrate the opening of a new splash pad built under the Recreation Re-Imagined initiative.
Splash pads are interactive aquatic play areas featuring water jets, sprays, and fountains. They are designed with zero-depth water safety, full ADA accessibility, and automated systems offering a unique experience for families and kids of all capabilities and ages to enjoy.
As part of the City’s commitment to equitable recreation access, all splash pads are open seven days a week, operating form 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and available for use from March through October.
City leaders and staff will be on site to officially open the new splashpad and celebrate the citywide improvements. The event is free and open to the public. All residents are invited to attend and join the celebration.
