City to Host Ribbon Cutting for New Tatemville Splashpad 

 

SAVANNAH – The City of Savannah’s Recreation and Leisure Services Department will celebrate the grand opening of a new splashpad at the Tatemville Community Center on Tuesday, April 1, at noon.

The new splashpad features full automation, zero-depth water safety, and ADA compliance, ensuring accessibility for all residents. It will be open for public use seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. through October.

The project is part of the Recreation Re-Imagine initiative, a citywide investment of over $4 million to upgrade and expand recreational spaces. Over $800,000 has been invested in more than 10 recreational improvements within District 5, with the Tatemville splashpad completed at a cost of $138,500.

City officials and staff will gather for the ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 1 at noon, marking the official opening of the splashpad for the spring and summer seasons.

The event is open to the public. All residents are invited to attend.
