Our tax sale is an open auction, and bids are taken from all interested registered parties.
Payment is required at the time of the sale and up to an hour after the sale. All sales are final.
**** MUST PROVIDE SEPARATE PAYMENT FOR EACH PROPERTY PURCHASED AT TAX SALE. ****
The only acceptable forms of payment include cash, money orders, or certified checks.
Tax Sale Bidder Registration
- TAX SALE BEGINS PROMPTLY AT 2:00 P.M.
- Please allow time for the registration process
- Registration will begin at 9:00 am in the Property Tax Department located at 305 Fahm Street, Savannah Georgia 31401. For registration, you must provide the following:
- A government-issued photo ID
- Verification of funds
- SOS active status verification from the Secretary of State (if bidding on behalf of a company)
- Your current address and phone number
- It is strongly recommended to have your registration completed before 11 a.m. on the date of the tax sale. Registration will close promptly at 11 a.m. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS
- PLEASE NOTE: Funds from the highest bidder must be submitted immediately following the sale, and no later than one hour after the close of the sale
