Incentive Zone Map Opens in new windowThe City of Savannah offers incentives in the designated Opportunity Zone, Military Zone, and three Enterprise Zones. Click here to view these incentive zones in a single map. 



The Ssagis.org Opens in new windowavannah Area GIS (SAGIS) Map Viewer provides users an interactive experience to view the City of Savannah’s Incentive Zones.  In the map viewer, click "Layer List On/Off" in the top right corner, scroll to "Economic Development Zones", and select the box. The City’s Incentive Zones and Targeted Corridors will appear highlighted on the interactive map.

The Federal Opportunity Zone program promotes investment in low-income communities by providing tax benefits for committing capital gains to ventures in selected Low-Income Community Census Tracts. Savannah has three areas with eligible Opportunity Zones: The Westside and Canal District; Eastside and Waters Avenue; and the Southside.

An Enterprise Zone is a designated area within a city or county with an organized effort to revitalize areas suffering from disinvestment, underdevelopment, and economic decline. The City of Savannah has three Enterprise Zones:

1.  Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. & Montgomery St.

2.  Waters Avenue

3.  Pennsylvania Avenue

West Downtown OZ Map.jpgSavannah’s West Downtown Opportunity Zone encourages business development and job tax creation through $3,500 in job tax credits per job created. 



Hunter AAF.jpgSavannah’s Hunter Army Airfield Military Zone encourages business development and job tax creation through $3,500 in job tax credits per job created. The Military zone includes the following Census tracts: 40.02, 42.07, 44.00, 105.02, 108.06, and 109.01.
