Summer Art Camps
Registration is Open for Summer Art Camp!
Summer camp will be offered in one week sessions to children ages 9 - 12. The camp will re-open as part of Phase Three if local COVID-19 cases show a continued downward trend.
Camps are planned to begin the week of Monday, July 6 and will continue through Friday, July 31.
Parents may pre-register June 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center and by email for the weekly summer camps. Parents will be notified the week prior to camp if the City is able to proceed based on local COVID-19 public health data.
Summer Camp the Savannah Cultural Arts Center
Week-long camp sessions are available to campers 9 to 12 years old. Each week will be themed (see below), encourage imagination, and build skills in visual and performing arts.
Along with a fun and fulfilling camp experience, the City’s Cultural Resources Department is planning this year’s Summer Art Camp with safety in mind. To comply with social distancing requirements, Camp sizes have been reduced to a maximum of 18 participants. Parents are encouraged to register as soon as possible as spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please read the Parent Guide for more information on camp and safety.

Priority placement is given to to City of Savannah residents. Non-residents will be placed on a waiting list and contacted the week before camp about availability.
Registration is open until 12 p.m. the Friday before camp starts, as long as there is space available.

Financial Assistance is available for eligible City of Savannah residents who are enrolled in the SCCPSS free and reduced lunch program. Documentation is required. Download the application here.

Before registering for camp, we encourage you to read the Parent Guide.
Fill out the registration form. Each child will need their own form.

In person: Register in-person on Friday, June 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you would like to register in-person on a later date, please call ahead as our building is currently closed. Drop-offs can be accepted between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Payment is accepted via credit card, check or money order. Please note: Payment method is required to secure your spot(s) for camp. Payment will be processed the week prior to camp after the session is confirmed.

Checks and money orders should be made out to "City of Savannah" and mailed to 201 Montgomery Ave, Savannah, GA 31401, or call to arrange a drop off.

Safety Precautions for Summer Camp
Health Screen: All campers will be required to participate in a health screen and temperate check before they are permitted to enter camp.
Face coverings: All camper and staff will be required to wear a mask during camp. We encourage parents to send camper with a mask that attached behind the head to allow the camper to lower the mask when needed (eating, drinking).
Hand Washing: Campers will wash their hands and/or use sanitizer frequently throughout the day.
Social Distancing: Camp activities have been modified to help encourage and maintain social distancing.To the extent possible, campers will be expected to maintain a six foot distance throughout the day.

Camps are contingent on community health, COVID-19 cases, and mayoral decisions or changes. Camps may be cancelled or rescheduled at any time.
