Performing Arts Specialist
Join the Cultural Resources team! The Performing Arts Specialist is a full-time position with the City of Savannah. This role is responsible for organizing, planning, implementing and teaching the fundamentals of a variety of performing arts programs, including singing/vocals, dancing, acting/theater and/or playing musical instruments.
Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Performing Arts, Theater or Music; with three years of increasingly responsible technical experience in performing and teaching performing arts disciplines, to include singing, acting/theater, dance and music ; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A valid driver's license is required. Must be able to work flexible work hours, including evenings, nights and weekends.

Looking to share your love of the arts with the community? The Savannah Cultural Arts Center is looking to build its roster of qualified instructors to lead creative classes and workshop sessions. We are seeking contract teachers for a wide range of subjects in visual and performing arts - beginning and advanced, adult and youth. Past and current classes have included jewelry, ceramics, drawing, dancing, improv, songwriting, and SO much more.
Interested individuals should submit along with their application: a resume and up to five portfolio images (in digital format). Previous experience in art instruction is required. This is a per-activity contractual service; not a City of Savannah employment position.
