Forsyth Park Gathering Space

The Herb Traub Gathering Space at Forsyth Park

Forsyth Park has always been one of Savannah's most treasured gathering spaces for residents and tourists alike. It's a place where friends meet, children play, and our community thrives. The Herb Traub Gathering Space Project aims to enhance these experiences by revitalizing the small courtyard near the park's north end, creating a more functional and accessible space for everyone to enjoy.

About the project

This project, a collaborative effort between Downtown and Midtown Rotary Clubs and the City, will reimagine the courtyard with new hardscaping, shade trees, seating areas, and landscaping. Honoring the spirit of Herb Traub, a beloved community advocate and downtown Savannah champion, this project will transform this corner of Forsyth Park into a vibrant hub of conversation and connection within the community.
