City Offices To Close In Observance Of Thanksgiving

SAVANNAH (Nov. 20, 2023) – City of Savannah administrative offices and facilities will be closed Thursday Nov. 23 and Friday Nov. 24 in observance of Thanksgiving. Emergency services will remain open.

Sanitation services will be impacted by the holiday. Residents can expect the following changes to their schedule:

Residential garbage and recycling will not be collected on Thursday, Nov. 23. All residential collections will collect Thursday routes on Friday, Nov. 24. Sanitation crews will resume yard waste collection on Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25. Street cleaning services will resume Monday, Nov. 27.

The Dean Forest Road Landfill and Bacon Park Transfer Station will be closed for drop-offs on Thursday, Nov. 23. Dean Forest Landfill will resume operations on Friday, Nov. 24 at 7 a.m. Bacon Park will resume operations on Friday, Nov. 24 at 9 a.m.
