Savannah Cultural Arts Center Opens New Exhibition Featuring Work By Students, Instructors
SAVANNAH (Dec. 6, 2023) – The Savannah Cultural Arts Center’s newest exhibition, Elevate, will open to the public on Friday, Dec. 8 and features artwork created by the students and faculty over the past two class terms.
Mediums featured in the annual exhibition include pastels, ceramics, and painting. An opening reception for Elevate will take place on Friday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m.
Following the opening reception, at 7 p.m. there will be a performance showcase in Ben Tucker Theater featuring students and faculty from the performing arts classes offered at the center, including ballet, heels, and dynamic dance.
Performing Arts Specialist and Cultural Resources’ dance instructor Kristin Mueller is organizing the performance showcase entitled, Elevate: Seasons of Change.
“This showcase is a great opportunity for our students to not only show off what they’ve learned in classes this term, but progress as dancers and as performers,” Mueller said. “They look forward to participating each year.”
The gallery exhibition will be on display through Dec. 22. The Savannah Cultural Arts Center gallery is free and open to public viewing. You can learn more about the gallery and hours at the Cultural Resources website, savannahga.gov/arts.
