District 5 Alderwoman Dr. Estella Shabazz and City Manager Stephanie Cutter joined neighborhood residents and City staff for a ribbon cutting ceremony today for new sidewalks installed in neighborhoods surrounding the Liberty Parkway.
“This was all made possible through your SPLOST dollars.” said Alderwoman Shabazz “I’m grateful to our City Manager; she has led our staff to do another great work in the City.”
The project includes the installation of 2,700 feet of sidewalk with ADA ramps, providing pedestrians with a safer walking path to travel through two very busy intersections while improving access to local businesses.
The residents in the area are taking steps to improve their neighborhood, and worked with the City to have new sidewalks installed in their community.
