For Immediate Release
Date: March 1, 2013
The public is invited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Chatham-Savannah Youth Futures Authority during a Gala event on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront.
Keynote speaker will be Doug Nelson, former President and CEO of the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Nelson helped conceive the Casey Foundation’s New Futures grant, which was awarded to Savannah in 1988 and led to the creation of the Youth Futures Authority. The grant’s goal was to provide disadvantaged youth in Savannah with opportunities not otherwise available to them. The lives of many young people in Savannah have been changed by a number of programs offered by YFA over the past 25 years.
The 25th Anniversary Gala Celebration will be a black tie affair, beginning with a 6 p.m. reception, followed at 7 by dinner and dancing. Tickets are $55 each, or $100 per couple. A table of 10 can be purchased for $500.
For ticket and information, call the YFA at 912-352-7054 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
