[ARCHIVED] Telfair Road closed for rail crossing upgrades

For Immediate Release
Date: July 18, 2016

Telfair Road will be closed at the railroad crossing east of Tremont Road on Tuesday, July 19, through Thursday, July 21, to allow CSX to upgrade the railroad crossing. Traffic will be detoured to I-516.

During construction, the Amtrak Train Station on Seaboard Coastline Drive can only be accessed via westbound Telfair Road --- there will be no access to Amtrak via Chatham Parkway. Eastbound Telfair Road traffic (off Chatham Parkway) will be detoured south on Tremont Road to I-516 West to Gwinnett Street, west on Gwinnett back to Telfair Road.
