[ARCHIVED] City asks for citizens help in clean-up

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: September 6, 2016

City crews remain in action following Hermine, working as fast as possible to clear remaining debris from the storm.

Citizens are asked to do their part in aiding the clean-up effort by following the regular yard waste set-out guidelines: cut debris to 4 foot length and neatly stack it at the regular point of collection. Debris should not be placed in the street. Leaves and small sticks should be bagged in brown, biodegradable yard waste bags. Loose piles cannot be collected by Sanitation.

Large unwieldy piles may not be picked up immediately and will slow down the overall pace of clean-up.
