[ARCHIVED] City dedicates “Jug” Knight Field

Date: December 14, 2016

The City of Savannah held a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for Coach John Carlton “Jug” Knight Field on Friday, December 9. Mayor Eddie Loach and District 3 Alderman John Hall joined with City staff, members of the Knight family, friends and neighbors for the ceremony held at the Scarborough Sports Complex on Skidaway Road.

The improvements to the newly named “Jug” Knight Field include: approximately 88,818 square feet of synthetic field turf; installation of concrete curbs, drainage system, field markings and equipment to support sport play of football, soccer and lacrosse.
