The members of the Savannah Youth Council Class of 2016-17 will graduate during a ceremony at 5:30 p.m. today, May 24 at City Hall in the Council Chambers.
Students, all of them Savannah and Chatham County 8th graders, have spent the past year learning about government, and undergoing leadership and public speaking training. The program is organized by the City of Savannah as part of an effort to engage our young citizens with their City Government and create a more involved public. Members of the media are invited to attend.
