The City of Savannah is joining forces with local residents and other organizations for a summer neighborhood cleanup in the West Savannah Neighborhood on Saturday, August 26, from 9 a.m. until noon. The event will kick off at 9 a.m. at the corner of Cullman and Graham Street.
Activities will include litter and trash pickup, lot cutting and lane cleaning, as well as outreach and education from Savannah Fire and Emergency Services (SFES) and Savannah-Chatham Metro Police (SCMPD). The target areas are: Jenks to Graham and Augusta Avenue to Bay Street. Participating entities include City of Savannah Sanitation, Community Planning and Development, Property Maintenance department, SFES, SCMPD, Savannah Impact, Operation Clean Sweep and neighborhood residents and volunteers.
