SAVANNAH, Ga. (November 17, 2017) – This holiday season, Savannah is invited to experience the second annual Holidays on Broughton, presented by the City of Savannah, kicking off with a grand celebration on Friday, November 24, beginning at 5 p.m. with the lighting of the holiday tree, seasonal musical performances and Santa’s arrival.

Holidays on Broughton will welcome Savannah residents and visitors to experience the wonder of the season in downtown Savannah, where amid magnificent historic architecture, festive decorations, whimsical building projections and shopping, guests will discover seasonal events for all ages and interests. From photos with Santa to musical performances, event-goers can count on an experience that will prove magical year after year.

The lighting ceremony of the 50-foot holiday tree, sponsored by the City of Savannah, will take place on Friday, November 24, at 5 p.m. at the corner of Broughton and Bull Streets, accompanied by merry-making, music and photos with Santa. Digital building projections will illuminate holiday scenes.

Santa will be available for family visits and photos Friday, November 24, from 5 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, November 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., underneath the holiday tree. Throughout the whimsical holiday event, many of the unique and eclectic shops downtown will offer extended hours of operation and holiday shopping incentives. Holiday shopping is made easy with three hours of free parking Thursdays and Fridays in any city-owned parking garage, sponsored by the City of Savannah. Daily rates apply after the first three hours of free parking.
