City Invites Residents to Zoning Open House

SAVANNAH, GA (November 2, 2018) — The Chatham County-Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission will be holding an Open House next Thursday, November 8 to discuss a proposed expansion of the Mid-City Zoning District.

The expansion of the Mid-City Zoning District will provide additional protections for historic buildings and design standards for new construction.

The Mid-City Zoning District was established in 2005 and currently exists east of Montgomery Street from Anderson Lane to Victory Drive. The proposed expansion would push the district west to include properties located east of the center line of MLK Jr. Boulevard essentially closing the gap between the Mid-City District and the Cuyler-Brownville District.

Mid-City Expansion Open House

WHEN: 6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8th

WHERE: Arthur Mendonsa Hearing Room of the Metropolitan Planning Commission, 110 E. State St.
