Revenue Department Begins Move to Coastal Georgia Center
SAVANNAH, GA (June 26, 2019) — The City of Savannah Revenue Department will soon be moving operations from its temporary location at the Savannah Civic Center to its long-term home in the Coastal Georgia Center at 305 Fahm St. Revenue’s service areas include City of Savannah Utilities, Property Taxes, Business Taxes, Alcohol Licensure, and General City Cashiering.
The Revenue Department will close its operations at the Civic Center on Thursday, July 11 at 5 p.m. The department will remain closed to the public through Friday, July 12 for the move, reopening on Monday, July 15 at the Coastal Georgia Center.
Residents who pay their City bills in person, including their bi-monthly utility bill (water, sewer and sanitation services), will need to pay at the new location at the Coastal Georgia Center.
The Coastal Georgia Center is a modern, accessible building that will allow the Revenue Department to better serve the public. Customers can park for free up to 1 hour in the adjacent Visitors Center parking lot, which is on the east side of the building. Handicap accessible customer parking is on the west side of the building. The Center is two blocks from the Chatham Area Transit Center at 610 W. Oglethorpe Avenue, where 13 different bus routes have a stop.
For residents who want to avoid an in-person visit, the City encourages the use of its convenient and secure online bill payment options for utilities and property taxes. Utility bills can be paid online at www.savannahga.gov/utilitypay and City of Savannah property taxes can be paid online at www.savannahga.gov/propertytax.
