Mayor Johnson to welcome Marco Polo ship to Savannah

SAVANNAH (May 25) – Mayor Van Johnson will welcome the CMA CGM Marco Polo, the largest vessel to call the U.S. East Coast, with a ceremonial ride up the Savannah River to the Port of Savannah on Wednesday, May 26.

Those interested in watching the voyage can view a special live video on the City of Savannah's Facebook around 8:30 a.m. when the ship is expected to pass Downtown Savannah.
