Celebrate Savannah this Sunday, 9/12!

SAVANNAH (Sept. 11) – Mayor Van R. Johnson, II, has declared Sunday, Sept. 12, as Savannah Day. This ceremonial, local holiday encourages Savannahians to celebrate the 912 in true Savannah fashion. Whether that means enjoying a park, a day on the water, a COVID-safe cookout or a local eatery – the City is encouraging every Savannahian to celebrate what they love about their hometown!

“Savannah Day is a day to really take pride in what it means to live in the 912,” said Mayor Johnson. “I am looking forward to seeing Savannahians’ creativity shine through as they participate in the celebration and share with all of us what they love most about our City.”

Media partners and residents are encouraged to spread the word and share how they celebrate Savannah using the hashtags #LOVE912, #SAVANNAHDAY, #MYSAVANNAH, #ILOVESAVANNAH, #SAVANNAHSTRONG.
