City of Savannah celebrates partnership anniversary with Service Line Warranties of America

SAVANNAH (May 10) – One year ago, the City of Savannah began a partnership with Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA), a leading home service repair plan provider. Through the partnership, Savannah residents have the option to sign up for service plans to protect against the high cost of emergency repairs to their exterior water and sewer service lines, as well as interior plumbing and drainage systems on their properties.

“We entered into this partnership to help protect our customers who might not be aware that they are responsible for the maintenance and repair of utility service lines on their property,” said Mayor Van R. Johnson, II. “This partnership with SLWA gives residents peace of mind and engages local plumbers that we know and trust.”

Since the launch of the partnership, 3,546 Savannah residents have signed up for an optional SLWA service plan, with many signing up for multiple plans. Over the past year, SLWA saved Savannah residents $310,000 in repair expenses, all completed with the help of qualified, local contractors. Further, homeowners who have needed service over the past year report a 4.8/5 satisfaction rate.

“While we can’t prevent pipes from breaking or being blocked, HomeServe is there to relieve City of Savannah residents of the stress of finding and scheduling a qualified contractor and the cost of completing the repair,” said Tom Rusin, CEO of HomeServe USA. “We’re proud to offer this service to the City of Savannah homeowner community.”

Homeowners with questions or who wish to receive more information about SLWA or the plans available to Savannah residents can call 866-922-9006 or visit www.slwofa.com.
