In celebration of National Archives Month, the City of Savannah Library and Archives department will host two classes for members of the public interested in learning more about the City’s historical collections. The classes will be held in City Hall on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Friday, Oct. 11 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Participants will learn how to identify and request historical materials in the collections. Library and Archives staff will also share highlights from the City’s collections, including maps, photographs, artifacts, manuscripts and bound volumes.
