The City’s Clerk of Council office will host the 2013 International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) and the Municipal Clerks Education Foundation (MCEF) Board of Directors meetings in Savannah beginning Thursday, Nov. 21 through Monday, Nov. 25 at the Desoto Hilton Hotel.
Over 70 participants and guests are expected to attend, with Clerks and foundation members representing municipalities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, in addition to IIMC Executive Director Chris Shalby and IIMC staff members from Rancho Cucamonga, CA. City of Savannah Clerk of Council Dyanne Reese is a past president of this organization and now serves on the MCEF Board of Directors.
IIMC is the leading professional association serving the needs of municipal clerks, secretaries, treasurers, recorders and other allied associations from cities and towns worldwide. The Municipal Clerks Education Foundation was created in 1984 to raise funds for IIMC. These funds are used to promote, train and educate Municipal Clerks to make them proficient in the services they provide for the citizens of their community.
