WHAT: Mayor Edna Jackson will host the United Negro College Fund’s Mayor’s Breakfast on Monday. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Carlton E. Brown, president of Clark Atlanta University. Media are invited to attend.

WHEN: 7:45 a.m., Monday, December 9, 2013

WHERE: Desoto Hilton Savannah, 15 East Liberty Street

WHO: Other hosts include City of Savannah Alderman at Large Carolyn Bell; Greg Parker of the Parker Companies; David Paddison, Seacrest Partners; Sylvester Formey, Vanguard Distributors

WHAT IS UNCF?:
UNCF (United Negro College Fund) is the nation's largest and most effective minority education organization. To serve youth, the community and the nation, UNCF supports more than 60,000 students at over 900 colleges and universities across the country. UNCF supports education through scholarships and other programs, by supporting its 37 member colleges and universities, and by advocating for the importance of minority education and college readiness. UNCF administers more than 400 programs, including scholarship, internship and fellowship, mentoring, summer enrichment, and curriculum and faculty development programs.
