WHY: The Golden Broom award is awarded quarterly to a local business chosen for meeting the following tree lawn criteria:
• Visually compatible with surrounding tree lawns
• Use of sustainable & uniform planting
• Creation of a harmonious design
• Functionality of design
• Meeting landscaping challenges
• Most improved
WHAT ELSE: A residential counterpart award, The Green Thumb Award, will be presented to Elizabeth Dunn, 22 E. Jones Street during the Downtown Neighborhood Association’s monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at the Coastal Georgia Center, 6 p.m.
