[ARCHIVED] Vehicles parked on parade route must be moved by 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: March 12, 2014

Downtown residents and those attending downtown churches should remove their vehicles by 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 from areas along the St. Patrick’s Day parade route. City crews will begin delivering French barricades at that time on Sunday in preparation for the 300-unit parade on Monday.

The affected areas will be those blocks of Bull Street from Oglethorpe Lane to Harris Street, including the west side of Chippewa Square. Also affected are the blocks of Abercorn Street from Liberty Street to Gordon Lane. This includes the west side of LaFayette Square and the east side of Calhoun Square.

Vehicles remaining in the area may have to be towed to provide access for the barricades.
