The 35 members of the Savannah Youth Council Class of 2013-14 will graduate during a ceremony 5:30 p.m. today, April 24 in the Savannah Civic Center Ballroom.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Savannah Youth Council program which was created in 2004. Students, all of them Chatham County 8th graders, have spent the past year learning about government, and undergoing leadership and public speaking training. The program is organized by the City of Savannah as part of an effort to engage our young citizens with their City Government and create a more involved public. Members of the media are invited to attend.
