Mayor Edna Jackson was sworn in as 2nd Vice President of the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) today during the Association’s 2014 Annual Convention in Savannah. The convention is being held at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center, Hutchinson Island thru tomorrow. Following Monday’s swearing-in, Mayor Jackson is on-track to become GMA President in 2016.
Created in 1933, the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) represents municipal governments in Georgia. Based in Atlanta, GMA is a voluntary, non-profit organization that provides legislative advocacy, educational, employee benefit and technical consulting services to its members.
