Mayor Edna Jackson invites all prime contractors in Savannah to a special meeting on Tuesday where they can learn and ask questions about doing business with the City, changes to the Minority- and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) program, as well as expectations regarding performance.

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014, in the Bryan Room of the Savannah Civic Center.

Tuesday’s meeting with prime contractors follows two previous meetings on the same topic held earlier this year for MWBE subcontractors. It’s part of a broader effort to revamp the City’s MWBE process and increase the City’s outreach, education and communication with those wishing to do business with the City of Savannah.
