WHAT: City and neighborhood leaders will officially open a new playground during a ribbon cutting ceremony on the south side of Savannah.
WHEN: 4:30 p.m., Monday, October 27
WHERE: Crusader Park Neighborhood Center, 81 Coffee Bluff Villa Road. * (See map below)
WHO: The event will be hosted by Alderman Tony Thomas, who represents the 6th District, where the park is located. He will be joined by fellow members of City Council, City staff, and neighborhood residents.
WHY: The City of Savannah maintains 57 different playgrounds throughout the community, in addition to nearly 200 acres of parks and more than a dozen community centers. For the past five years, the City has been named a “Playful City USA” by the nonprofit KaBOOM! organization for increasing access to play opportunities in our community.
