[ARCHIVED] Public invited to Broughton streetscape work session

For Immediate Release
Date: December 15 2014

The City of Savannah invites the public to attend a work session on streetscape enhancements for the Broughton Street corridor at the Coastal Georgia Center, located at 305 Fahm Street, on Wednesday, Dec. 17 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. An overview of the streetscape planning effort will be presented to participants and stations focusing on pedestrian areas and streetscape elements will be set up to allow for public feedback.
This work session is part of the City’s initiative to enhance the streetscape of major corridors within the downtown area—from Liberty Street to River Street and from Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard to E. Broad Street. This process will help to create an environment that contributes to the livability of our community as well as address issues we may be experiencing in certain areas. Work sessions will be held in 2015 focusing on River Street, Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Montgomery Street, Bay Street and several other priority corridors.
For more information, please contact the City of Savannah at 912-525-3097.
