The 29 members of the Savannah Youth Council Class of 2014-15 graduated during a ceremony held today at City Hall.
“Everywhere I travel, I talk about this program and the wonderful students who participate in it. You are our future leaders, and I’m tremendously proud of each of you,” said Mayor Edna Jackson.
Students, all of them Savannah and Chatham County 8th graders, have spent the past year learning about government, and undergoing leadership and public speaking training.
